The Power of Photography

I saw two photographs this week that really reminded me of the power of a still photo.
The first photo was of a guy getting tasered on a baseball field in the US (only in America!). Photoshelter’s Grover Sanschagrin provides the background with this interview with AP Photographer, Matt Slocum.
The second photo was of the Deepwater Horizon Oil rig going down in flames last week. There is something so apocalyptic about the photo of the oil rig going down, that it really stood out for me.
