In Transit: Yusefeli
2012 May 28
Rocked into Yusefeli this morning and the first thing that happened was this man pulled us aside, ordered us two cups of chai and provided us with a seat each. Being a knife seller, I pulled out my pocket knife and asked him to sharpen it for me.
When I went to pay, he refused and instead gave me the Turkish hand shake with the two cheek kiss.
Just a friendly man, stoked to see some travelers in his neck of the woods.
