Mongolia has a largely nomadic population. Outside of the capital Ulaanbaator, there are no fences dividing the landscape up. Rather, there is an endless steppe, which spreads as far as the eye can see. Throughout this sparse landscape, are nomadic herders and their families.

While camping alongside a river on a 16-day, 500 kilometre paddling trip, this lone horseman simply wandered into our camp. He was as curious about us, as we were about him. Turns out he rather likes peanut butter too.
